MEET OUR RECRUITERS
Chris
Castanias is the founding member of the organization and
will continue to lead the Cincinnati office of the Beacon Executive
Recruiting Group. Prior to launching his recruiting career, he
was an external reporting analyst for a Dayton, Ohio-based Fortune
500 manufacturing company. Chris started his recruiting career
in the early 1990s with the Cincinnati office of a large global publicly
traded executive recruiting firm. He gained his most significant
recruiting experience at Ernst & Young, LLP, where he spent a number
of years as Area Director of Recruiting. He rounded out his HR
background as a Director in the HR consulting practice at one of the
10 largest CPA firms in the country, BKD, LLP.
Chris graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he earned
a B.S. in Accountancy.
Chris has spoken on the topic "Careers in Accounting" at various local
colleges. In addition, he is an active member of his community, volunteering
his time in the local school district and coaching little league baseball and
basketball.
Sarah
Black, CPA, SPHR leads the Columbus office of the Beacon
Executive Recruiting Group. Sarah brings a global view with
local focus to our team. After a brief tenure at Arthur Andersen,
Sarah spent a number of years at KPMG in Chicago before taking on
a national role at Sears Holdings Corporation. Most recently,
she excelled as a recruiting manager for an Ohio office of a Fortune
500 executive recruiting firm.
Sarah earned a B.S. in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science
from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating as
a Chancellor's Scholar from the Campus Honors Program. She maintains
certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and
holds an active CPA license.
Sarah places high value on education, continuing professional development,
ethics, and confidentiality. Her vibrant approach and genuine
efforts on behalf of her clients and candidates make Sarah one of the
most-respected executive recruiters in central Ohio.
